In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Capricorn Group committed a total of N$5 million to support both the Government, as well as vulnerable communities during this time of crisis. The N$5 million was spent over five months from March to July 2020.
This report outlines the Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) initiatives of Capricorn Group, as well as all of its subsidiaries in Namibia, Botswana and Zambia for the period from March to July 2020.
The high level of collaboration and support between the group entities in response to the pandemic should be noted and once again showed that #WeAreStrongerAsone. Through the collective efforts of all the group entities, we have been true Connectors of Positive Change during a very difficult time.
The projects supported will be monitored on an ongoing basis and a case study on the Group's CSR response to the COVID-19 pandemic will be included in the 2020 Integrated Annual Report. There is no end in sight for the pandemic; therefore, Capricorn Group and its subsidiaries remain committed to support both the Government and the vulnerable communities during these challenging times.
